Tesla has announced that it is ending production of the Model S 60 and 60D models due to poor sales. Most buyers ended up choosing the Model S 75, so to simplify things the 60 kWh option will be removed from the options list.

The Model S 60 started at $71,300 before any tax incentives, but now the 75 kWh model will be the cheapest model S with a starting price set at $77,800. If you still want the Model S 60 or 60D, you have until April 16, 2017 to place your order.
