Buick Velite plug-in hybrid concept teased


Buick has released a teaser of its new Velite concept, which is going to make its global debut at the Guangzhou auto show on November 18. The concept is a preview of Buick's new line of green vehicles that will be launched under the Buick Blue sub-brand.

The Velite Concept is powered by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle powertrain that is effective, responsive and smooth. Its SIDI engine is paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack.

The introduction of the Velite Concept follows the debut of the Buick LaCrosse Hybrid Electric Vehicle in Shanghai. Buick has confirmed that it is working on additional Additional products hybrid, plug-in hybrid and extended-range electric vehicle powertrains.
