Audi has unveiled the all-new second-generation Q5 SUV at the Paris Motor Show. Overall the design of the new Q5 is evolutionary and borrows many styling cues from the larger Q7.

The new Q5 is larger than the outgoing model, which translates to more cargo room and space for rear seat passengers. Even though its now larger, the new Q5 has managed to drop 200 pounds thanks to the use of high-strength steel and aluminum.

Audi hasn't revealed the US-spec version of the Q5, but we can expect the base version to be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder. It's unlikely that a diesel version will be offered, but we can expect the more powerful SQ5 and RS Q5 models. A hybrid is a possibility, since Audi has already unveiled the new Q5 Hybrid, which pairs a 2.0-liter inline-4 with an electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain generates a total 245 horsepower and 354 lb-ft. of torque.

The new Q5 will go on sale in early 2017, but Audi hasn't announced when the US-spec version will go on sale.
