Honda has unveiled the 2017 Civic Hatchback, which will join the Civic Sedan and Coupe models when it does on sale this fall in the U.S. The Civic Hatchback was previewed earlier this year as a concept and as is typical with most of Honda's concepts, the production version is almost identical.

The Civic Hatchback will only be offered with the 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The LX, EX and EX-L trim levels will have 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft. of torque, while the new Sport and Sport Touring models will get slightly more power at 180 horsepower and 162 lb-ft. of torque. The Sport and Sport Touring models get the extra 6 horsepower thanks to the new high-flow center-mounted exhaust. The 1.5L can be mated to either a CVT or 6-speed manual transmission. The CVT equipped models will be rated at 31/40 mpg.
