Since Audi had to stop selling its A3 TDI in the U.S. that has meant that A3 Sportback fans that love the versatility of a hatchback, have only been able to get the plug-in hybrid A3 Sportback e-tron. Although Audi probably lost some diesel fans, the A3 Sportback e-tron now accounts for nearly 13 percent of all A3 sales in the U.S.
For 2017, Audi is giving the full A3 lineup a refresh, which includes the A3 Sportback e-tron. On the outside, the 2017 A3 Sportback e-tron gets an updated front fascia and a new Sport package which adds 18-inch 15-spoke Turbine-design wheels and an S line roof spoiler.
