Mitsubishi's i-MiEV electric vehicle is returning for the 2016 model year with some much needed upgrades that will make it a bit more livable. If you were to walk into a Mitsubishi showroom today to buy the i-MiEV you'd notice that it doesn't come with simple tech gadgets like Bluetooth or even a navigation system. Thankfully those will be part of the options list when the 2016 i-MiEV arrives this spring.
Ford has announced that production of the all-new 2015 Edge crossover has kicked off at its Oakville Assembly plant outside of Toronto, Canada. The new Edge will be exported to 100 countries and to support the global launch of the Ford Edge, Ford has announced addition of 400 new employees to supplement the 1,000 new employees that were announced last year.
Let's start with the most important part...400. In the new Lotus Evora 400 that equates to 400hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. It's still the same Toyota sourced supercharged 3.5L V6, but a new supercharger with new water-to-air intercooler and engine management system have brought horsepower up by 55 and torque by 100 ft-lbs. While the horsepower increase may not be substantial, the extra 100 lb-ft. of torque is impressive. Lotus now claims the Evora 400 is able to reach 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. This new found power allows Lotus Evora 400 to lap it's home track a breathtaking 6 seconds faster than the model it replaces.
Audi has revealed the second-generation R8 supercar, which is going to debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show. Some of the new R8's highlights include an aluminum and carbon fiber Audi Space Frame, a 610-hp V10 engine and a new all-wheel-drive system.
McLaren has unveiled the 675LT supercar ahead of its world debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show. Offered only as a coupe, the 675LT is basically a lighter and faster 650S that re-establishes the McLaren "Longtail" heritage.
