GM's New Full-Size Pickups Are in High Demand

GM's all-new 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups are in high demand and it's being reported that the automaker can't keep up with demand. The most popular version of the pickups is powered by the 5.3L V8 engine and according to sources demand for the pickups is far exceeding supply.

Certain parts of the 5.3L V8 are being produced by a supplier that can't keep up with the number of orders that are coming in. It could apparently take up to a couple of months to catch up with the demand. GM is trying to keep up with the demand since it sees this time period as a chance to grab sales from Ford. The all-new Ford F-Series isn't going to launch until next fall.
