Porsche Builds the 500,000th Cayenne

Porsche_Cayenne

After 11 years in production, Porsche has announced the production of the 500,000th Cayenne. When the Cayenne was launched back in 2002 it was unknown if Porsche fans would gravitate towards a Porsche SUV, but last year alone Porsche sold 83,000 units around the world. When it launched Porsche only produced around 70 units a day and today Porsche now produces five times that much due to the increased demand.

The 500,000th Cayenne to roll of Porsche's line in Leipzig was a white S Diesel with a 382 hp V8 engine.
