2013 Ford Fusion Energi Plug-in Hybrid to Start at $39,495

The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid is expected to start arriving in showrooms in January, but if you've been waiting patiently to see how much it will cost, here you go. The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi will reportedly start at $39,495, according to Car and Driver. That price is before the available $4,000 federal tax credit and any state tax credits.

The top Fusion Energi Titanium will start at $40,995. The Fusion Energi is poered by the same 185 horsepower hybrid powertrain as the Fusion Hybrid. It's expected to have an electric-only driving range of approximately 20 miles and will be rated at more than 100 MPGe.

At $40,995 the Fusion Energi will carry a significant premium over the Fusion Hybrid, which starts at $27,995, but at least if you're daily commute is short, you'll have the luxury of never having to use gas...
