Back in 2009 it was reported that the Bugatti 16C Galibier was going to be produced, but now two years later it looks like it's a for sure thing. It's being reported that VW has officially given the thumbs up to the Galibier.

The 800 horsepower four-door Bugatti is expected to go for $1.4 million. The Galibier is powered by a 8.0L 16 cylinder engine that is mated to an eight-speed transmission. It's expected to have a top speed somewhere around 220 mph.

It's not yet known when the first Galibier will be produced.
