Top 10 Best-Selling Cars in November 2009 Were....

2010_toyota_camry_f34.jpg
November 2009 is officially over and luckily for most automakers the huge declines that were experienced earlier in the year leveled off with a pretty flat month in sales. Hyundai, Subaru and Nissan all saw gains with 46 percent, 24 percent and 21 percent respectively.

It's no surprise that the top two vehicles are the Ford F-Series followed by the Toyota Camry. Overall the list of top ten best selling vehicles last month is pretty much the same as its been most of the year, with the order just changing a little bit. Note that the Honda Civic dropped all the way to the number 10 spot last month.

Check out the full list after the jump.

1. Ford F-Series: 30,494
2. Toyota Camry 27,385
3. Chevy Silverado: 22,101
4. Toyota Corolla: 21,899
5. Honda Accord: 17,239
6. Nissan Altima: 15,490
7. Ford Escape: 15,149
8. Honda CR-V: 13,955
9. Ford Fusion: 13,774

I guess the only suprise for me is the Corolla. I've never even heard someone consider buying one of those (may just be my group), even as a daily beater. I wonder what's up with Civic sales sliding so much.

brundall:

The Corolla is the best selling vehicle of all time (worldwide) - so no surprise there.

Teldar:

I just think the new Camry and corolla are just ugly.
I'm always somewhat surprised when I see so many of them on the road. Don't really care for the hood on the front end....

Brian:

Yeah you might not like the look of the Corolla, but they keep on trucking.

Cheap to run, cheapish to buy, and cheap to insure.

(And the non-critical parts, yeah they are cheap too.)

Trooper Bri:

I'm curious about the saggy Civic sales too. Seems to me it's still the sportier, better looking vehicle in Honda's lineup.

SteelCity1981:

Ford ties Honda with the most 10 ten cars sold on that list.

Ravicai:

The current gen Corolla is a crappy copy of the last generation. It weights 300 lbs more, gets less gas mileage, and the XRS performs worse then the previous gen XRS. Plus I hate those Captain Dork rear reflectors.

I disagree on the Camry though. This is my fav gen Camry yet. I like the styling on the SE, and the V6 is a beast in this car as it can run mid 14's stock in the quarter and still manage to get 28 mpg.

Jim:

If the Civic didn't have the crap dash board maybe it can compete with the Corolla. Three big mistakes for a main stream car: dashboard, wipers, and tailights. You don't mess with sucess and that's what happened.

ben:

Ford's success will only continue now that the majority of GM is government-owned (70% if you include Canada) and Ford is seen as the only private US car company with a quality record that continues to get better with each passing day.

Gas prices will soar again, and the overall trend of the next 10 years will still be small cars... the new Ford Fiesta, Honda CR-Z, Chevy Cruze, and new-model Civic.
