In addition to news about future of the Regal and Impala, GM's Bob Lutz has also confirmed that the Cadillac Sport Wagon is also going to be offered as a CTS-V Sport Wagon. This means that buyers will be able to get the CTS-V any way they want it, since the CTS-V will also be offered as a coupe.

Car and Driver recently got some alone time with Lutz, in which he stated, "You know what's really going to get you guys [on board with wagons] is the CTS-V wagon."

Noya:

Wow, big deal. The Germans have released uber-wagons for as long as I can remember.

My question is why wasn't a CTS-V wagon available when the 1st gen CTS-V came out years ago? Oh yeah, because GM = too little, too late.

thetruth:

The Germans make them, but very few in the US market buys them....how many S4 wagons sold in 2008.....under 200....wow is right.

Noya, against his best efforts, is correct in his statement. Americans generally don't care much for stations wagons, especially premium priced performance blends.. Adding this body style to the V lineup isn't going to change much

wvo:

Guess that will do until the red paint comes in :/

Billy Bob:

If GM can build this low volume car, then why can't they build us rednecks a Z-28 Camaro. Discriminating against the working man.

muscleoverrice:

Why cant they build a G8 under the chevy brand?

DuDe:

Not buying GMC vehicle after the bailout even if they would offer a train with vertical lift off and a 100 MPG.

thetruth:

@Dude

Seriously? That ride sounds pretty cool, even with bailout dollars.

Caddy:

@DuDe

So your goal is to help GM fail in the hopes that your tax dollars didn't go to waste? You have fun with that, I'll be at the Cadillac dealer...
