The 2.0L turbocharged Regal, which will arrive shortly after the car's launch early next year, will indeed be offered with a six-speed manual.
Many of us have always thought of Buick as the old man's car. It looks like GM is trying to change that...

2.0L turbo + standard transmission...reminds me of Saab. If (and that's a biiiiig IF) I were to get this car, I'd rip off the Buick badge and proudly slap on "Opel." Eh, personally, I'd opt for the 9-5 of this platform. But that's just me.

A Buick Evolution MR? Hahahahaha. Like I said before...Pontiac would have been the right team for this job. But, I wish GM the best of luck.

They are trying to keep Pontiac fans happy. I am sure they are hoping that a lot of G6 owners will look to this for their next car.

They are clearly going after what Japanese and European manufacturers do, although with total lack of sexiness and trust in the brand.

Trust in the brand? The Opel Insignia (which is what this is) has won dozens of awards internationally and Buick has some of the highest quality in the market, equaling that of Lexus. Any issue of trust is more an issue of being uninformed.

@topper:
Precisely! Buick has to bring in a new customer base to survive.
I like the looks a lot (not more than the well-executed LaCrosse, though) - hopefully the performance and reliability will be there to make it a success. I wish Buick well.
