Honda has released the pricing for its controversial new 2010 Accord Crosstour crossover.
The 2010 Accord Crosstour starts just under $30k at $29,670 for the base 2WD EX model. The fully optioned 4WD EX-L with navigation will set you back $36,220. The EPA numbers have also been released and the 2WD model gets a combined 18/27 mpg, while the 4WD model gets 17/25 mpg. The Accord Crosstour comes standard with Honda's 3.5L V6 with Variable Cylinder Management.

The front end and rear end of the car look like they were designed by different committees that were mad at each other. The front end "face" looks buck-toothed and seems to be saying "DUUH".

It's ugly. Maybe even 2009 TL front end ugly. Why not just make a freakin' normal Accord wagon? That same wagon could also have AWD. It's possible you know. I've seen other cars do it.
Why would I pay 30K for a FWD version of this Accord? Other than the standard V-6, it has little to offer an already crowded market.
And 36K for the loaded AWD version? There's plenty of more substantial vehicles in that price range. Including full sized trucks. I'd take a 4dr Tacoma over that thing any day of the week.
Dammit Honda. You are starting to pork the job on too many vehicles. Sigh... When good auto companies go bad....

This was most likely designed for US market only, just like American Accord. It is highly utilitarian, however.

deffinitely agree with you on that.. what happened? all these crappy hybrids, and now ugly overpriced crossovers? Not to mention honda dropped the nsx and s2000 and wont be making a replacement, and they also dropped out of f1. Honda now is a company that no longer makes fun cars, just overpriced ugly vehicles.

Another problem...the Toyota Venza starts at about $4K less than the Crosstour. Honda is hitting all the wrong notes on this one.

Is this just a rebadged/re-faced Acura ZDX? My gosh...are Honda and Acura becoming like Ford and Mercury? Honda/Acura what are you doing!?

If this is the direction new cars are going (BMW X6, BMW 5 GT thingy, Acura ZDX, Crosstour), I predict used car sales to increase. What a bad design. Some cars grow on you after a couple of months. I don't see this car growing on anyone, and if it does, they are sure to have it lanced off.
