BMW to Release "0 Series" Based on MINI Platform

BMW_0Series_sketch.jpg
BMW has said in the past that the automaker has no plans to ever offer a front-wheel-drive, but it looks like that will soon change. It's being reported that BMW is currently working on a new line dubbed the 0 Series that will share its platform with the next generation MINI.

If the rumors are true, the 0 Series will hit showrooms by 2013 in three-door, five-door, and roadster versions.

"0 Series"

Really creative name.

JoeW:

"0 series"...
If going smaller again, will we see a "-1 series"?

Jose Morales Jr:

JoeW: I was thinking the same thing...what will we see next a -1 series haha...BMW has lost their mind

Phil:

i hope they never come out with anything smaller than a mini cooper sized car! haha

Spycho:

All this time I thought the 1 series was too small. Maybe they can go to fractions next (1/2 series, 2/3 series,...)?

Totenglocke:

@Spycho

If you find the one series too small, I suggest a treadmill and eating a salad.
