The next-generation Audi RS6 is set to be unveiled early next year. Rumors are circulating that the next model will drop its 5.2L V10 for a V8 with twin turbochargers.
The current RS6 is powered by a twin-turbo 580-hp 5.2L V10. It reaches 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph. If the rumors are in fact true, don't expect a reduction in power. The turbocharged V8 will likely be between 4.0-4.5 liters.
The next BMW M5 is also expected to ditch its V10 for the 4.4L V8 that powers the M versions of the X5 and X6.

You should write "has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph" so all the rednecks and good ol boys on this site don't think their old 1998 LT1 F-body can eclipse it by 2-3mph.

That must be an awfully special F-body Noya, since the LT1 was last used in 1997.... LS1 Z28 Camaros topped out at around 163 mph stock and Trans Ams topped out around 165 mph stock. The SS's and Firehawks, a few mph more. They also top out in 5th, not 6th gear.
Care to try again?
