The first photos of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG have begun to leak out thanks to Australian site CarPoint.
The SLS AMG is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, so it's no surprise that photos are already leaking. It is powered by a 563-hp 6.3-liter V8 with 480 lb-ft. of torque that is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The SLS AMG can reach 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph.
Production is expected to start in late 2010.

This is the ugliest Skyline I've ever seen. MB sucks

I must admit, I don't like it. I am sure it will be fast, it will drive well, etc, but I would rather drive a GT-R than this car.

any of you bozos ever seen or heard about the gullwing? You know, that ICON of a car MB made from '55 to '57 I think.

Gullwing or not I think the SLR was more attractive.

@ papabear:
I don't think people are so much as turned off by the gullwings as they are of the front end...i.e. the headlights. Its appearance is debatable, but I've seen worse.
This car's side profile does SOMEWHAT resemble that of the 300 SL gullwing though...especially the roofline.

Rather have an SLR, even if this is faster, quicker, all around better performer, and has a nicer ride. Funny part, from the specs above, the SLR performs better...
They canceled the SLR because of lack of sales. Most can agree it is an attractive car. What makes them think they will fair better with this when its a love/hate in the looks department even if it is a little cheaper?

Looks like a bad mash up of a Viper, Skyline, and Benz.

This car is a sweet interpretation of the classic gullwing, I think it's way more boss then the SLR, don't get me wrong I think the SLR is a grand car but I think this is even sexier, it has that nostalgic look yet it also feels quite modern, nice one

Except for the headlights (should be two lamps, stacked) and taillights (the plain E-Class look - should've gone round), I think it's a stunner.
