At the Frankfurt Motor Show this year Ford is going to show off the new C-Max and the extended version shown here, the Grand C-Max. The new C-Max and Grand C-Max are based on Ford's new global C-platform architecture that will also be the basis for the next Focus. The both models will be powered by a new 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder.
The 2010 Grand C-Max looks very similar to its smaller sibling, but has been stretched to accommodate three rows of seats. The extra length also adds sliding rear doors, instead of the conventional rear doors on the C-Max.
Expect more details soon...

Sliding rear door. Interesting idea. It's easier to get in an out of a smaller car, but it adds that crappy looking track on the back quarter.

I would have to agree with the above comment. I think regular doors would have been enough for this car. Looks good however.

3 rows of seating for a car with a 1.6? Sounds a little ambitious for the North American market. That pic of the 3 rows looks as useful as the rear seats in a Vette. Perhaps "seating for 6 grocery bags" would be better.
My guess is it shows up here with the traditional C-Max door configuration as the Focus wagon.

Nice interior! I wonder when they'd finally bring it to US?

I don't like the dash, that is for sure. The radio/media controls looks more confusing than the Accord's. I like the Camry layout much better. Though I do like the big knob, I think it should have two of them though. Just my preference.
Nice looking platform hope it doesn't get the ugly side grille that is on the current Focus. Definitely nicer looking than the Fit.

3 rows in that thing? A Rear end crash ateven a modest speed vould produce some big injuries for people sitting in the back. Having 3 rows in such a small car is too dangerous for my taste to sit in the 3rd row.

Interior looks nice, but the exterior looks ugly as hell...typical Ford.

Is this getting that new EcoBoost? 180hp out of the 1.6 should be plenty...
