BMW is only a few thousand units behind sales leader Lexus, which could mean that there could be a new top-selling luxury brand in the US by the end of the year. Lexus has been in the number 1 spot for the past nine years.

Brilliant features, one of which is that while idling (say at a stop sign, stop light) the engine turns off. As soon as the clutch pedal is pressed to engage 1st gear, the engine starts again. However, due to our stringent emissions regulations, it is not feasible to bring it here.
BUT, for once the European standards (in the relatively near future) will exceed those of the American (Californian) standards. With Europe's love of Diesel (now 66% or so of all BMW Europe sales), they will be force to produce an emissions compliant vehicle. Hopefully, Diesel will finally make it's proper entrance in Amerika.
