According to sources over at MotoringFile, BMW is set to unveil two new MINI models in Frankfurt next month. The MINI Speedster concept, which is a sportier alternative to the convertible Cooper is set to be unveiled at the show. In addition, the Crossman R60 crossover is also going to be at the show.
If the guys over at MotoringFile are correct, we should expect to see an online unveiling of the two models sometime this week.

All Mini's look pretty much the same. If either of these two cars are even the slightest bit different than the rest of the current lineup it'll be an improvement.

You know this is what happens when you take a great car and make a whole company, dealership out of it.
It turns to craps.
THE Mini is a great car, the clubman and every other variant is just a way to "diversify" the Mini to give it more appeal. WHY?! It's a MINI. That's like having a car company that only sells Corvettes and then realize that in order to keep up the sells volume we need to make something else...
Perhaps it they were sold at BMW dealerships then it wouldn't be a problem and you could just have the mini. Think of the VW beetle as a stand alone dealership...
(I do realize the original beetle has various forms: car, convertible, truck, ect... But that was also a slightly different time, when you had body on frame, not unibody. It's not a huge cost layout to design a new body and use the existing chassis instead of designing a whole new car...)
I like the Mini, it's a tad over priced with all the options (but I do like the fact you have OPTIONS), but a great car none the less.

These are great cars. So much fun to drive S and JCW versions! I hope they'd make more variants of these.

Yes i'm sure an SUV 'MINI' wit a 4.0 lit v8 ala X5 would sell purty well huh....how ironic.
You know some car should stay as they were...its called heritage....you know...a Mini.
