German tuning house Irmscher has teamed up with GM to create a tribute to Transformers Bumblebee by creating a Bumblebee version of the Chevy Cruze.

The changes are only cosmetic with the body being lowered 30 mm with orange 18-inch Imscher-designed Turbo Stars wheels. There's also the orange stripes and mirrors and fog lamps. Under the hood the car is powered by the stock 1.8L mated to an automatic transmission.

The car wil make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

thetruth:

Looks like the car is speaking for itself on this matter, just read the plate.

For some reason I figured the Germans would be a little beyond this sort of stuff....does it really belong at the Frankfurt Motor Show?

Avatar:

A fan in China already did this to a Cruze since Camaro's cost a ton over there.

Andy:

Now why they have to COPY hyundai elantra's tail lights.

SEALBoy:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that Bumblebee was YELLOW.

Trooper Bri:

The Frankfurt auto show must be desperate this year to allow a sedan with safety orange rattlecan paint highlights in.

If I find out that even a nickel of my GM bailout tax dollars was spent to turn a decent looking sedan into an inner-city sh!tbox, I'm going to kick my local GM dealer principal square in the ass and tell him to please pass the message up the ladder.

GGAY!!!!

Noya:

Leave it to GM to do something this gaudy and stupid.

miki:

So this is what? Cobal Replacement?

426Hemi:

Only the Germans can fined this to be cool.

theNoob:

The license plate. Just read it, it defines the car.
