Honda has announced that the six-passenger FR-V MPV is being phased out.

The last FR-V will roll off the production line in August, with no plans for a replacement. Only 13,531 FR-Vs have been sold in the UK since it went on sale in 2004. Honda expects to be able to cover the market with the Insight and Jazz (Fit).

Andrew:

They should have marketed that car here in the States. Mazda doesn't seem to have a problem selling a similar version.....

Alan:

I own one of these and it's great my kids love being able to sit in the front middle perch and 5 up the second row get a panoramic view out the front windshield. I think Honda's biggest problem with this car is mechanical. Only 2 engine options: 1.8 liter petrol or 2.2 liter diesel. Auto gearbox is a 5 speed only available with the petrol engine which is not sufficient for the vehicle's size. I know of several people that have looked elsewhere because of this.

zippy:

Damn, I would love to have that with the 2.2 to commute to work and pick up the kiddies.
