Kia Soul'ster is a Go?

kia_soulster_concept_new.jpg
Kia unveiled the Soul'ster concept at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, which is based off the recently released Kia Soul.

The two-door concept that featured a canvas top is now being considered for production. According to Kia the response to the concept was very positive and some Korean magazines are reporting that decision on Soulster’s production will soon be made.

If Kia does in fact approve the Soul'ster we would see it in US dealers as early as the second half of 2010.

Bradford:

Y not. LoL. Tho it's as ugly as sin, it'll sell. It would be taking on I guess... the Wrangler? But its gonna have better mpg and a more car like ride.

I wanna see a back shot. Gotta have a tail light location change..

Lame, shoot it and Bradford for idiotic double posts.

Bradford:

@sandman...
comp. froze ass jack. my bad

Sandman:

Yup, freezes on every damn post I see. Might want to take your cheap ass down to the electronics store and get a new one.

Gary:

I was actually very suprised that I've seen 2 or 3 of the regular Kia Souls around town. I guess they're good competition for the scions.

Not my cup of tea though.

jettto:

i think its super nice from the exterior... as for the engine... its another thing....

why do i keep receiving spams when i put my email here..?%

Mr. D:

I know a guy who works at my local Kia Dealership and he informed me that they can't keep these vehicles on the lot. It's actually their biggest seller at moment, even better than the new Forte.

The age group of the buyers is probably the most surprising. The same guy told me that the age range of people buying the Kia Soul are mid-twenties and under, and 50+. I guess it is a cheaper alternative to the Honda Element?

Brian:

At least car designs like this looks less bad done up in plasticky trim. You either have high end design that looks good with chrome like a Jag or Aston Martin, or really low brow designs that look good all decked out in cheap plastic goodness.

Sandman:

im gay

Jennifer:

i would buy that tomorrow if it was available. hope it will have 4WD ability.
