Chrysler has announced new incentives for the month of May to move more of its vehicles off dealer lots by giving buyers what they want...more cash.
Beginning today, Chrysler is now offering $4,000 consumer cash on 2009 vehicles, $1,000 owner loyalty for current Chrysler owners and $1,000 credit union bonus cash for qualified members. So that basically means that some buyers will be able to get up to $6,000 towards the purchase of a Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep.
The incentives run through June 1, 2009.

It's a good deal for people who aren't too severely hit by the recession.
But like Bob said....what I want is a Toyota.....or a Honda....and not even a 3000$ to 6000$ will be enough to sway me to buy a Chrysler car that I would keep for 10 years.
Unless money was a HUGE factor, which if that's the case, I shouldn't be considering buying a car in the first place...

I was going to say that if they have $6k off of all of their cars, then just pick up their cheapo sub-compact for even cheaper. Then I remembered that they don't sell ANY small cars. Though if this goes for Dodge and Jeep as well, then there might be a car or 2 that are worth looking at.

I want to know who's going to pickup the Viper line?
I know it's a niche product, but I have to imagine it would pay for itself....

I want a car that is dependable, gets good mileage and retains its value. Unless Chrysler rebadges honda's and toyota's, they can't give it to me.

Incentives? How bout putting a spare tire in the Challenger (for those of you that aren't aware, they don't put one in new Challengers).

@WVO - I don't know if this is true, but you either have a spare tire in the car (as required) or you have run flat tires which are usually found in much nicer cars. So which is it?
I am not on Dodge's side here, but it should be common sense to have a spare tire or know more about your car before you purchase it.

@andrew: I had the pin in my hand and ready to sign a contract on an '09 R/T (but sanity prevailed at the last second, I didn't need to get any deeper in debt, and I let it go). They put like a can of fix a flat in them from the factory. Like that would help with a sidewall blowout,,,not. Salesman told me they weren't run-flats. Could have been unknowing.
