Yet another Camaro blurb. Big deal, wasn't it already the pace car for the Daytona 500 or Cali race last week.
Is this thing also going to be the next Mars Rover before it actually hits the street.
On a related note, GM lost almost 14 billion last quarter. Which is roughly equivalent to what Uncle Sam (who am i kidding, our money we have yet to re-pay) handed them for a bailout. Which means GM may be out of business before Transformers II hits theaters.
Will we see Barrett-Jackson auctioning the whole fleet of Camaros this fall?

They aren't going out business at least not anytime soon. Bankruptcy is a real possibility and frankly what they should have done to begin with.
Despite their posturing that doesn’t mean they won’t be making and selling cars during that time either. I guess these misconceptions are to be expected as the US president doesn’t even know who invented the automobile.

My bud had a 87 GT when we were in Germany.
We had some uber good times on the autobahn with it.

I like the car, and all... but even I have to admit that it feels like this vehicle has been out for 5 years already, thanks to all the coverage.

Mullet sense is tingling...
Also, shouldn't the Corvette ZR1 be the pace car? Its the only one of the GM vehicles that could potentially keep in front of an Indy car long enough to require them to have to swing wide to make a pass.

@Kempai Tai:
That has been my reasoning about the car all along: we first saw pictures of the Camaro in what, 2006? Back then the buzz was bursting, but now, its all gone lackluster. I can't imagine the car will launch with much enthusiasm, down market or no.

Straight from the Brickyard and into the front yard on a set of sweet cinder blocks. I swear I'll get it running again soon someday.
