Honda has unveiled its lineup for the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon, which is basically similar to SEMA. The show kicks off at the same time as the Detroit Auto Show, this Sunday.

The two main vehicles at the show will be the Sports Modulo S2000 and Fit Concepts, but check out the gallery to see the other models.

Pink polka dots and rhinestone trim are PIMP!

Sandman:

One look at the Accord and it shows how badly they castrated the Acura model. How could they get one so right and the other so wrong.

Trooper Bri:

Oooh, the Honda Hello Kitty. Comes standard with 12" wheels, iPod adapter, and 25lbs of fake rhinestones to glue everywhere. I believe that's the Molly Ringwald "Pretty in Pink" edition pictured.

The CrossRoad could be badass in the US. My only gripe: not sure i care for the "deep dish" window design. Reminds me too much of Nissan's love for that style not long ago. And it eats interior space.

And finally, looky there. The S2000 with ugly plastic cladding down the side. It's not only ugly, it's Pontiac ugly!
If you're going to be lazy and only rework the front fascia Honda (and she's due for re-styling), at least do it so it still matches the old curvy body style, and doesn't require the cladding to blend the new fat fascia.

@ Sandman: Agreed. Oh well. Everyone jumps the shark at some point i guess. A charming prince dressed up like a frog on purpose. That Modulo would have done much better here now that i see those new Acura's on the road. That beer opener grille doesn't look any better in 3 dimensions than it did in 2.

Tom:

Like the Accord and Civic designs, but what's up with those funky fenders for both the S2000 and the Fit? Don't care much for those funky lines, and the S2000 especially looks like some boy-racer got his hands on it. What were they thinking?

426Hemi:

WOW! That's a lot of Scion nock-offs.
