Thanks to a few sites breaking the embargo, we now have an early look at the 2010 Jaguar XFR that will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show.

The 2010 Jaguar XFR is powered by 510 horsepower 5.0L AJ-V8 GEN III engine that features with a 6-generation Roots-type twin vortex (TVS) supercharger. That power propels the car from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

The XFR also features 20-inch Nevis alloy wheels and comes in eight colors: Botanical Green, Indigo, Kyanite Blue, Liquid Silver, Lunar Grey, Porcelain and Salsa.

Stig:

This is the best looking four-door car ever ... if i had enough money, this would be mine

426Hemi:

@Stig

Agreed.

GRIZZ:

Comon Stig and Hemi. The best looking 4 door ever? Its a slightly redesigned and rebadged MKS, though I must admit the changes do make it look better than the MKS. Even the interior framework and gauges look alike.

Spycho:

What's with the Monte Carlo headlights and Buick grill?

Noya:

@ GRIZZ,

Don't comment if you know nothing and can't even google. This car shares nothing with the MKS, which is a FWD/AWD car based on the Taurus.

adrian:

the XF is what Jaguar can offer to the modern world.

Brad:

Everything's fine except for the lights. Why the hell are auto-makers insisting on having irregular shaped lights?

GRIZZ:

I posted a list of side by side, front, back comparison photo links earlier, but this blog doesn't like links even when they are all TR links. The cars are obviously similar in many ways if you look closely. Until just this last summer when Jag was sold to Tata it was owned by Ford, and during Fords ownership of Jag it has shared development on several vehicles like it has with Mazda, Volvo, etc. During the entire development cycle for this Jag it was still owned by Ford, so it's not surprising it still has Ford influences like I mentioned in my previous post.

Noya, you shouldn't criticize a post if you don't "know nothing" about a companies history without having to Google it or even how to use the English language properly.

Joan of Arc:

It is still a damn fine looking car... loads better looking than any Mercedes or BMW for sure.

Now if the performance is there... that is the question.

kw:

Not my cup of tea. Looks kind of porky to me.

I know many see Jaguar as a luxury sedan producer, but I long for the days that Jaguars were, first and foremost, racing cars, like the XJSS, or C and D-types.

SteelCity1981:

Noya is a tool anyhow. No one listens to him, because you lose more brain cells at a faster rate when you do.

Noya:

@ GRIZZ,

You still have the nerve to "pull a politician" and completely disregard MY points? What a wanker.

My post stands, I'm right and you're wrong. This car has nothing to do with the MKS and is most certainly not a rebadged MKS.

Noya:

@ SteelCity1981,

This is my last post even acknowledging you. You're a straight redneck who always comes to the defense of the "flailing 3" regardless of how idiotic you sound, or how idiotic their management is. You're someone who would by a base Chevrolet Cobalt over a Honda Civic just because it's "American"...even though anything you might read (I'm assuming you're reading this and not your mom) says to the buy the Honda.

Avatar:

Oh no Noya, it is much worse then you thought. The XF isn't a MKS, but a Lincoln LS lmao. They both use the Ford DEW platform. And it gets worse from there too, since the S197 is based on the Ford DEW platform, originally called the Ford Dew Lite, now known as the D2C. So a Jaguar shares the same basic design and chassis as a Mustang. Didn't see that one coming, did you?

So you need to start hitting the books again. The XFR has a different chassis however. So you did manage to get one thing right, lmao.

TERRELL:

THIS IS A VERY FINE AUTOMOBILE. ONE OF THE BEST LUXURY CARS OUT RIGHT NOW.
