Production of the 2010 Chevy Camaro was supposed to start next month, but now it looks like production has been delayed a month until March 16th.
The one month delay is not due to supplier issues, since the issues with supplier Cadence Innovation have been solved with secondary suppliers.
The Camaro convertible had been put on hold but now it will be released at a later date as a 2011 model.

They really had something 2 years ago for all the babyboomers to buy to "feel young again", go fast in, and boast of their belief in old american muscle. But it's almost too late now as other manufacturers are producing some real cool cars and these are just getting pinned up as posters in a mechanics garage.

Chevy's really dragging it's heals on this, and is at risk of falling into 'also ran' status, compared with the Mustangs and Challengers. Pity, because the Camaro looks to be a strong package.
Same can be said for the Volt. Gone is the sporty Volt concept, replaced by something that could be mistaken for a Prius or Honda's new Insight hybrid. Visually, but for badges, those 3 could be the same cars, except that the Toyota's and Hondas will have been on the market year(s) before the Volt.
Chevy's dropping the ball. Hurts to say that, but it's hard not to notice.
