Who can we believe anymore? Reports surface that certain vehicle programs are dead and then days later differing reports come out. Earlier this week, Autocar claimed that Honda had killed the V8 engine program and RWD Acura's. Now Jeff Conrad, Vice President of Acura as informed dealers that the Acura "tier 1" program is still in the works.
According to Conrad the NSX program is officially dead, but the much needed V8 engine and RWD programs are still moving forward. It's rumored that Acura is working on a large RWD, V8 powered sedan to go head to head with the Germans.
It's still not known if the other reports about the death of the S2000 are in fact true.

ahh, well, if Acura starts making the car in the photo, I will probably never buy a car from Honda ever again.

For some reason it looks like a toy.
Like it should be in a Monopoly game or something...

What on Earth is it with Acura and their cars getting progressively uglier? This concept looks pretty slick as long as you ignore anything in front of the front tires. What's with that black notch in the middle front?
Already, Acura dealers are getting special orders with that horrid "V" grille blacked out. I guess the Japanese will have to learn Edsel's lesson the hard way.

Not a bad design....once you get past the initial dry-heave.

Ugh. Acura design studio has some work to do. Still, I guess the real news is the possibility that Honda/Acura are continuing with the V8 engine design. The photo is really more of a place holder.
Or at least so I hope, for Acura's sake.

The on-again, off-again NSX successor continues to de-evolve. This is the ugliest, most bombastic expression of Acura's new "corporate grille". Sometimes less is more, you know...

This thing looks just like a running shoe, which is not of my style. What a joke.
