2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Photos Leaked?

2010mercedeseclasscoupeleak1.jpg
The guys over at Autoblog.nl have posted a few photos of what may be the 2010 Mercedes Benz E500 Coupe.

It's not known if these photos are official photos of the 2010 E-Class Coupe, but if they aren't they are a good photoshop. The front end of the coupe in these photos is very similar to the recently unveiled E-Class sedan. The roofline is similar to that of the current CLK and it also features a B-pillarless design like the CLK. Outback the coupe features large taillights that are similar to the sedan and a short rear deck.

Stay tuned to see if these are actual photos of the 2010 E-Class Coupe.

A nice car, but the seats are monochromatic at best, and a swoopy back end. Also, I would like a dash representing more technology rather than simple round gauges.

I believe this Mercedes Benz will fade into the background in the parking lot.

Although I have no doubt that this is pretty much what the final car's going to look like, I don't think the images above (the exterior ones, anyway) are official. There's just something about them that strikes me as Photoshop-ish. Of course, I'm only going by instinct here, so I could be wrong.

Right, maybe on Rodeo Drive.

My 1987 Mustang GT is, and will always be, a true head turner. This Mercedes will be invisible on the streets and in the lots.

Jung:

How many second looks does your mullet get?

Joan of Arc:

No offense sparky, but I'd rather look at this Mercedes-Benz than a 1987 Mustang GT. Those just look like any old car. I mean, it might be fast, but so are some old Hondas...

This Mercedes-Benz wins, hands down.

Peter:

Not much better than a Toyota Solara.

@Joan of Arc:
That was Noya's flash of wit on the Mustang. But his bulb was already burned out. My response to him is simple, I'd rather look at a 2010 Mustang GT than a 1980 Mercedes Benz 300td. (td is short for turd) I can pick out just as many ugly old foreign cars as old American models. (don't get me started on some of the new jap models - yuk)

Some MB cars are very nice and unique. But so many of their models fade into the parking lot after a few years. Every report I see show their reliability suffer too. Maybe this car will be different, but I don't see it.

Oh, and Noya, have fun posting under my name. Don't you have homework do to?

kw:

Something awkward about this. Like the front and rear wheel wells aren't well connected, or it's coming down stairs. (That sounds odd. Think I need more coffee this morning!)

Joan of Arc:

Ah, I thought you posted the 1987 Ford Mustang thing.... but still, the 2010 Mustang won't turn more heads than this.

Most common folk don't see a difference between the new Mustang and the "old" one. This new E class certainly looks badass.

However, most cars disappear into parking lots over the years. Heck, almost all old "well-designed" luxuries of the past still disappear into parking lots. An old car is an old car, and most people like the new. Hardly anyone is going to pay attention to older vehicles, unless they are meticulously maintained.

It looks great, and I'm sure it'll sell well, just not to us "enthusiast" types.
