SEALBoy:

If I ever bought one, the first thing I'd do is paint that CFpanel the same color as the rest of the car.

Wayne:

Saw this car on TOPGEAR, and it flies for a super car. They also showed it the most gas effecient in comparison to the Lamborghini. So if your super rich with a greenie type of attitude this is your car.

I like the panel the way it is. Makes it look different than the Porsches that probably whoop up on it in the same price range.

All in all I still would want a Corvette.
Cheers

Tom:

LOVE the R8, but so far my lottery tickets were all duds and it's a lofty dream at best.

The silver side panel, however, would be better as a Black/Silver carbon fiber panel. May just be me, but the version shown here makes it look cheaper. Have not seen one in in person though which might change my opinion.

sparky:

Sex on wheels. What the Nissan GTR 'super car' (lol) should of been, which can't even come close to compete in style and form with this car. Like the engine exposed but the stripe is a little 70's thou... Maybe in black rather than silver.

lowest iq:

no, i wait till the post of the Audi R8 in Blue.
Very important!

Tom, since you know so much about design, why dont you give Walter Da Silva a call at: 44 28 347 378 423.
Tell him that the panel looks cheap.

Timeless:

This is what the R8 should have been to begin with.

Looks great!

gm0n3y:

I also don't like the different coloured panel. And I'm sure I'm gonna take some flak for this, but I actually think the GTR looks better than the R8.

Are we sure this isn't just yesterday's photos photoshopped with a different colour?

Stve:

I'm pretty sure you can order the R8 with the panel colour matched if you want. I've pictures of a few with it done.
Personally I like it, although I will agree it doesn't really work with the red, but the white with black panel R8 posted the other day looks great.

waffle911:

Panel comes in silver, graphite, matched, or CF, I think.
Magazines are all comparing the GT-R with the Porsche 911 Turbo, but before they compared the R8 with the Turbo and the Corvette Z06. Well, why haven't they gotten around to comparing the GT-R with the R8 with which it is most competitive?

Though I will rant you that, the R8 does look better than the GT-R. But I still like the way the GT-R looks because it is completely unapologetic about it. It was born to kick serious ass, first and foremost. But I really think the R34 GT-R looked better--it had more of that purpose-built, takes-no-prisoners look to it.

Oh, the R8. I'll wait for the V10TDi, thankyouverymuch. I intend to get more than 13MPG when exercising my right foot.

gm0n3y:

^ I agree that the R34 was better looking. I'm still hoping to get one eventually.

zippy:

Good grief, can we get a new article already?!!!!
You could at least post something about the idiot UAW throwing their future down the crapper.
This Audi bit has been up forever.

426Hemi:

Wow, TR might really be dead.

Dave K:

I'd guess that either the site is dead or someone is taking their Christmas break a bit early this year.

I think the Audi is sexy as hell, and I imagine the owners manual doesn't need 8 slots for transmission replacements.

I know this is getting compared to the affordable supercars... but is its price going to be competitive? I thought I'd read that this beast was going to be priced well over 100k (pricing it out of GTR/Z06 territory).
