Here's a quick video that Ford has created to show how its voice-activated SYNC system works.
The feature that allows text messages to be read to you through your speakers sounds cool...since all that I do is text....Now if only the system could convert what you say into text messages...
Who here actually has this system? Let us know your thoughts...

My dad rented the Ford Flex Limited Edition which had Sync, but when I tried to play music from my cheap, $20, nothing happened. I read the manual and it said that it does not work with all mp3's. How dissapointing:(
Anyway, does sync work with ipods? If not, thats terrible (not for me of course)!!!

SYNC definitely isn't going to work with ALL MP3 players. It should work with iPods though since they're the most popular. I haven't used it as no one I know has a Ford vehicle with SYNC installed but I do like the fact that it's available and it's not that expensive of an option at the dealer given what it does to increase safety and usability.

I have sync in a 2008 Focus. I have not tried it via iPod, but it plays fine from USB flash drive in MP3 and MP4(AAC) format.
I also connected a 60GB 1.8" hard drive to it and it worked fine as well.
Personnaly, this is must have tech. I have been able to rediscover music that I already owned as it is all at my fingertips on 60GB drive.
