Ford is going to officially debut the all-new Mustang this week at the LA Auto Show, but some of the pricing details have already leaked.
If the info leaked today is correct the 2010 GT with the Premium package will start at $30,095, which is inline with the pricing for the Camaro and Challenger. Some of the features included in this package are the 4.6L OHC 3V V8 Engine, SYNC system, 18″ wheels, shaker 500 audio, ambient lighting, bright aluminum accent dash, pedal covers, scuff plate & shift knob and 6-gauge cluster with MyColor.
Some of the options include HID headlights, a GT Track Package for $1,445, and a voice activated navigation system.
Stay tuned for the official unveiling this week.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the EcoBoost engines are coming to Ford just yet. They're putting it in Lincolns right now as they're the luxury brand and are supposed to get newer tech first, then it'll trickle down to Ford and Mercury a year or so afterwards.

*** Trickle Down ***
See Definition - Pissing on the lower members of the food chain. Much like Bush's economic and "Trickle Down" effect, pissing on lower life forms does not create prosperity.

jOSH: Obviously works at a Burger King sweeping floors and he can't afford a new Mustang, nor understand how Trickle Down economics work.
Keep sweeping and read the business page once in a while smart guy.

Price...
Between a GT Mustang V8 and the Camaro V6; Mustang.
Between a GT Mustang V8 and the Challenger V8; Mustang.
Between a 400+ Hp Camaro SS and Mustang GT-500? Camaro SS..
At least they didn't have a large increase in the price of the new Mustang, that is what it was all about; lot's of fun, low $.
Oh, and 1st!

sparky, you are aware that the base Camaro costs $22,995? The SS starts at $30,995. So $30,095 for a Mustang with 300 hp (currently) is going up against a 400+ hp for $900 more.
The Z28 was suppose to be priced around the GT500 price range with an LSA, 556hp.

You call 30k low $. I don't know what planet people are living on these days with car costs. 30k is a pile of cash for any regular car. Too many cars are 30k+ now that should be in the low 20's. The reason American cars are not selling is because they are too expensive. Who wants to live in slavery to their car payments? The kind of people who buy Taurus's, Mustangs, Malibu's and such regular people cars don't earn 100k per year. They earn more like 25-40k per year, and 30k+ is too much for someone earning that much.
