Gary:

The only incentive I'd need is a decent engine under the hood of the SI. If Honda wouldn't have wanked out and put a little 2.0 in there, I'd be driving one now. Throw the TSX 2.4 in and call it a day.

Noya:

While I agree the 2.0L makes no torque, it's still a really fun hot hatch. A friend has an 2008 Si sedan and I've molested it on some great driving roads and as long as you enjoy rowing the gears it's a blast while still getting 30mpg and the car having great resale value.

Brian:

@ Gary...

Yeah the 2.4L with less power and a lower rpm range... That's exactly what the Honda fanbois are crying for.

Frankly if they wanted the Si to haul serious ass, they'd drop the turbo 2.3L out of the RDX in it. Sure it doesn't have the rpm range but @ 260 ft/lbs of torque you wouldn't really need. But then again a high torque low rpm engine is "anti" Honda.

nic:

i think the honda civic is a great incentive to buy. mean anyone can buy one with leather and nav and great mpg what more to u guys want!>? if u wanted damn Si go buy from the dealer and ask the opions of 2.4 honda accord engine or the rdx instead of pissing moaning about how shit the engine is

in my mind great car for those who want a simple car?!

Joe:

"Gas prices have also been declining, which may decrease some demand for fuel-efficient vehicles."

That should read increase, not decrease.

Gary:

@Nic:

I'm pretty sure there aren't any dealers that offer to swap a K23T or K24 into a Civic as an "option". If they did offer it, I wouldn't get it done to an SI, it'd be pointless as a base model with that swap would be a better choice so you're not paying a premium for the K20.

Sandman:

lol Noya likes molesting his hot hatch.

Scott:

JOE, are you dyslexic?
