Sweet! looks like car&driver was right on the money.

Gary:

If the rendering they have on the link is close to what it will look like, the new Camaro may have some competition. Now lets just hope Ford can get the V6 mustang into the 300 range.

Jung:

I don't know what it is...I can't quite put my finger on it, but this Mustang seems "smaller" somehow.

pabloNGO:

looks like the actual mustang to me. maybe some new adds, thats all. i guess that Ford is affraid to lose the popularity the actual mustang gained with it's last design. poor guys.

Seth:

Whats with the gay leopard print? Oh who cares, its bloody mustang...bleh

BigO:

The leopard print is the camo its wearing. Crazy patterns hide body lines in photos, and then the car isn't hidden under leather, which ruins aerodynamics, etc, for true testing.

Mazda6 Guy:

So which one of the two is the new one? They look the same to the current one to me...

Al:

What's the difference between this monstrosity and the current Mustang? Looks the same to me.

Gary:

To those wondering what the difference _may_ be, click the Jalopnik link right under the article. They have a rendering of what it will probably look like.

bubba551:

I thought Ford sold Jaguar already

Peter:

More important to me: weight, horsepower, handling, and if it has independent suspension.

SteelCity1981:

Finally ford put a rear indy on the back pf the mustangs now. Rear solid axle is fun until you need your car to really go around a corner at a moderate speed. I own a 05 GT and i love it, but i might trade it in for the 5.0L versions when it comes out.

Ctk:

So just a new hood and front bumper?? meh, still looks old!!

lowest iq:

terrible weather and looks old. Is this Cuba?

D!:

I just finished reading an article on another automotive forum ::cough:: carscoop.blogspot.com ::cough:: that actually had a story about an interesting Ford vehicle. Mainly, the next Ford Focus RS. I know we in the states probably won't get it but it still looks great and would make a decent story. Turbo engine, 300hp, Recaro seats, exterior body kit, and an interesting alternative to plain ol' FWD (possibly pioneered in the Mazdaspeed 3).

Looks great. I just came here to see if there was anything new since the other site had about 10 other stories besides this one. Of course I was wrong.

Com'on TR, what's the hold up?

Mr Future:

Yawn.

JB:

@ SteelCity:

What makes you think it's independent? There doesn't seem to be any relaible information saying that, and the pictures certainly don't show it.

It looks like a cosmetic update to me, and not much else. I assume it will get a bump in power.

SteelCity1981:

@ JB

Becuase Road and Track had an article about the 2010 mustang having a rear indy a bout a couple months back

"freshened interior and independent rear and front suspensions"

Now rather this is 100% we will just have to wait and see.

JB:

LMAO! Yeah, I'd take that with a grain of salt, especially since they mentioned it would have an independent front suspension as well. Never would have guessed that the front would also be independent!

There is a lot of hype to this car, and I honestly think all it is is a cosmetic "freshen up" of the current model.

radkon:

Honestly if ford took off the camo paint and painted it black would anyone have noticed it?

Jorge Salinas:

Personally i believe the mustang looks way more better than the Camaro or Challenger. It has better looking body model. And what can you say about the Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 KR huh? Chevy can't stand a chance not even with the SS

JB:

Have you SEEN a Challenger? I mean in person? Those things are SICK! Better than the Mustang or Camaro.

And as far as the GT500 goes, I have only seen one or two around here. I guess only a few people were dumb enough to buy a car that had the price tag of a Corvette, but performance that wasn't anywhere close. Hell, I have seen more Corvette Z06s around here than GT500s.

And with the price of the GT500KR being MORE than a new Z06, I don't know how many takers there will be, beyond a handful of Ford faithfuls. It's an $80k Mustang for God's sake.

michael:

i own a roush 427r and a gt500 that will dust a challenger or a z06 corvette.if you don't know what you are talking about,do a little research before you speak!!!! j.b.
