Maserati has released details and photos of its latest competition model, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Corse Concept which is based on the 430 horsepower GranTurismo S.

The engine from the GranTurismo S has been upgraded with a new intake system, catalytic converters and a center-exit exhaust that boosts horsepower to 450. The suspension has also been upgraded and there is a new larger rear spoiler and increased track. 8x12" front and 18x13" rear wheels fitted with racing slicks help put all that power to the ground. In order to keep that power under control the brake discs have been enlarged with monobloc racing calipers and there is a FIA-approved rollcage for even more protection.

TrainRekS:

Not bad compared to the current Maseratis

Noya:

It looks pretty stripped...I wonder what it hits the scales at?

JD:

I like how the design comes together especially at the front end.
It has looks of Aston Martin all over though.

lowest iq:

agree, this is an Aston with Maser grill.

WS:

What the heck is wrong with the front tire and rim? It looks like it took a hundred mile ride down a gravel road. Must be the lighting or some type of photographic artifact.

gm0n3y:

Much better looking than the last few Maseratis that I've seen.

Dan :

RX-8?

Jason:

The front is nice, but the back just seems... undeveloped.
