Following on the heels of the new Tacoma, Toyota is finally getting ready to introduce an all-new 4Runner, which is slated to arrive for the 2025 model year. We’ve been waiting to get details about the 2025 4Runner, but now we have our first teaser photo from Instagram, which gives us a preview of its rear fascia.

The teaser, which was part of a slide show showing all the previous generations of the 4Runner, reveals that the “4Runner” badge is being moved lower on the tailgate, just above the bumper. We can also see the 4Runner’s new taillights.

Details are mum about the new 4Runner, but just like in the past it will share its DNA with the Tacoma. We expect it to be offered with four-cylinder nonhybrid and hybrid engines. Since Toyota has started its teaser campaign for the 2025 4Runner, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to see it.
