bmw's design teem are the lazyest bunch of geinuses arround. the re-do is practically the same but there was nothing wrong with it to begin with. nice but lazy.

cobaltssman:

I want to marry this car after I divorce my Cobalt SS. We'd have 2 Mini's - one blue and one red and live happily ever after4.

cobaltssman:

after4 != after

Shut up, Jung!

sparky:

Nice station wagon. Looks like it is nicely appointed, however, what is up with the 80's vents in the dash? The tail-lights look like they bolted up the wrong rear hatch door. Not into wagons, but it I were - this would be very desirable.

idiots:

I'd rather have the window controls on the console, but I know I'm in a minority.

Picky:

Do they have models drive these cars for promo pictures? The guy looks like a nerd.

...!!!...:

But its a wagon...

gilly:

WOW...it looks...the damn same!!!!!!!

gm0n3y:

Looks pretty good, I still think that the 3 series looked better a few models back though.

Mazda6 Guy:

Wow look at those panel gaps!!!

Sorry to be pessimistic here, but a Civic (read econo-box) has much better panel gaps than this. I know I am being picky, but at this price range, this car has no business having anything that is inferior than a Civic (save reliability which is a given, the Civic wins).

Gaston:

Ugly, overpriced and unreliable.

426Hemi:

BMW: bouring to look at, but fun to drive (or so I heard)

SPEC4MECH:

Why are this gen beemers so yawn inducing and uninspired design wise? The front fascias of last gen at least looked intimidating, at least the E46 M editions looked "aggressive". Just my 2cents.

Brandon:

Are they ever going to put the window switches back on the center console where they belong?

gm0n3y:

I'm sorry Brandon, but you are the only person I have ever heard say that they prefer console mounted window controls.

Brandon:

Really?
From a user interface perspective it makes so much more sense to have the window controls in the center. It's where all the other controls are (radio, ac, etc) and it allows the driver to access the passenger controls without needing a duplicate set. It also reduces the number of wires that have to be run through the door hinge. If you have a manual transmission, or learned to drive on one, you probably steer with your left hand, which leaves the right free for operating controls.
Am I really the only one who's thought of this?
