Acura is in the middle of a major revamp of its current lineup. By the end of this year all three of the automaker's sedans will either be all-new or refreshed. Acura's bread and butter sedan, the TL is the last of the three sedans to get a redo. We've seen spy photos of the all-new TL recently, but these shots, taken by a guy with a camera phone reveal more of the final details.
The 2009 RL and TSX, which are already on sale feature a controversial grille, that the TL will most likely receive as well. What is different about the TL is the fact that the overall angular design of the front end is carried through to the rear end as well. It's still not known what is under the hood of the next TL and if it will in fact get a version of Acura's SH-AWD system. But it is definitely apparent that the Acura is taking its biggest risk with the styling of the new TL. Let's hope that Acura's decision to not play it safe with its best selling model pays off.

Jeez, did they forget something when they assembled it? This rear end really looks like a rear end, the driver that is. Why are the upscale jap cars either boring or so ugly?

fyi i have a 06 TL with navi and its great i average 50/50 highway/city driving on a daily basis and by driving in the christian driving style am able to acheave 29mpg by taking alot of drastic measures (65MPH MAX) and never touching the brakes!!!
when i first got the car and gas was relitively inexpensive i was averaging 21mpg and honestly hit 120mph on the way to work everyday. thanks bush youve made me into a commuter.....:-(

Gauranteed it looks awesome when the tape comes off. There are going to be two versions one with FWD 280HP and the other with SH-AWD 305HP. Acura needs a $100K+ halo car to compete with BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, & even Audi. Those car companies all have $100K+ cars and have built great brand images but Acura is lost in this sense and that is the reason that people pay extra for the other brands' lower models with less standard equip. than Acuras. Acura just doesn't have that Snob Appeal yet along with Infiniti.

You're an idiot. I'm not even going to explain why. Reread what he wrote. If you still don't understand have an adult explain it to you.

Cappy:
I believe he meant 50/50 was the amount of highway VS city driving (percentage) he does while averaging 29MPG. I can believe 29 MPG driving like a slug, however, I can drive my fully loaded 2008 Civic coupe (with automatic and AC) like a 'pagan' and get the same 29 MPG. I also drove my 2006 Mustang Convertable GT (V8-Auto) like a 'saint' at a steady 60-65mph on a calm day for 20 miles last week and got 34MPG (I normally get about 19-21MPG with 75/25 city/highway and I can guarentee I'm no 'Christian' behind that wheel).

I am not the one who posted that BS thing. I am actually able to read and understand english. Whoever posted that must be an idiot or they must have jumped the gun on their post. Either way when Acura brings over Diesel in next years TSX it will get 50MPG so BS!!! your just wrong all over the place.

Well I certainly hope that it looks better unmasked because in that photo it looks terrible. The current TL is a good looking car (if bland) and I hope they don't mess it up.
