Alfa Romeo CEO Luca de Meo recently told Auto Motor und Sport in an interview that the Italian automaker is working on an SUV that will be launched for the 2010 model year.
Plans for the new SUV will move Alfa Romeo from just a Euro-brand to a global player. The new SUV could be based on the 2003 Kamal Concept that is pictured here.

Looks like a mashup of a Subaru and a Hyundai... Not sure about this one.

Hope not.
You'll buy a 7 year old new car.
What do you think, did the AR designers sit on their hands for 7 years?

No doubt, Alfa make the best looking cars ... Unfortunately by 2010 there might not be many people willing to buy a SUV

LOL @ a manufacturer trying to make $ on an SUV when oil just keeps getting more expensive.

Why do I get the feeling it looks like a B9 Tribeca...oh wait Alfy designed that too.
I mean I know some companies have a design style. An Aston Martin looks a certain way, a Porsche has it's way, and even BMW now has it's own styling. But at least those all look relatively good.
Guys somethings just don't scale. You know VW didn't take the bug and turn it into an SUV, they came up with a new design. Lets work on that.

Why would anyone want to continue building SUV's other than Land Rover and Jeep? By 2010 gas is going to be like $7 or 8 a gallon at the rate things are going and even the incredibly rich and dumb people probably won't want to be spending $500 a week in gas.

Remove the Alfa crest, and it looks like last year's Hyundai. I like Alfa, but enough of the "ME TOO!! I HAVE ONE, TOO!!!"
BMW with the X6 Sports Activity Vehicle, Porsche's smaller Cayenne (can we call it the Porsche Pepper?), Audi's Q7, et al.
ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........
