PRESS RELEASE:

THE DREAM BECOMES REALITY;
PEUGEOT ANNOUNCES RC Z CONCEPT IS TO ENTER PRODUCTION

As part of the CAP 2010 project and the acceleration of the Marque's product offer, Mr Jean-Philippe Collin, Director General of Automobiles Peugeot, announced today at the Lisbon Motor Show that the RC Z Concept Car will be going into full production.

The final production model will be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, i.e. two years after the concept car was first presented to the public and will then go on sale in the spring of 2010. This unique model is one of the first results to come from the CAP 2010 competitive premium strategy. Therefore, the specification of the production model will be based on the key features of the RC Z concept car.

Its distinctive style, the result of the creative imaginations of the designers working in the Peugeot Style Centre, will keep all the appeal and excitement of the original concept car alive. Dynamic features, as well as the quality of the finish and build will all reflect the highest levels of the Marque's expertise.

By deciding to put the RC Z into production, Peugeot has demonstrated its willingness to break away from the traditional look of its coupés, which has been a key part of its image building, by delivering a unique product proposition with highly original styling. The RC Z has provoked great enthusiasm and has aroused keen interest from the general public. Today, the dream really does become reality.

Not to be outdone, we here in North America are getting a new version of Chevrolet Cobalt! Woohoo!

gm0n3y:

Looks nice, but its French.

Derek Danahy:

Looks like a comfy backseat. They should have just made it a two seater.

Ryan:

Cross between a nissan 350z and an audi TT

Cheap Car Lover:

This makes me happy that French cars are no longer sold in the United States.

Alex:

don't worry will never get that here

rx-8:

audi TT.

Chucklehead:

Poo-joe!!!

Poo-joe!!!

looks like audi tt

Jason:

I like the line about "distinctive styling"...

gm0n3y:

Eclipse / 350z / Audi TT, (the front part of) the interior looks nice.

Gabe:

That back seat has no business in that car.

Looks alright otherwise, Rear of the car looks like a lexus sc430. Not a very original design but still looks nice.

paul:

This car is a super nica car!!!! Morever,it's french and me i'm french

RX-7 Guy:

I think I like it, but I would have to paint teeth on the grill. It would also need to be crazy fast.

John:

Only the kids of an anorexic supermodel can fit in the backseats.

I do like the design though.

Dave K:

I like it... but that back seat is absolutely hilarious.

Interior (other than the back seat) is clean, and the exterior lines are a bit TT, a bit Nissan Z... but with some interesting bits here an there (double bubble for instance).

Not that we'll ever see it in the States.

bastard:

i think this car eats children and small animals

Rich:

I think this car would sell here in the US. I think Renault would, too. Enough time has passed where people have forgotten the awful Renault Fuego.

Couple of design things I would change. Are those chrome rings on the seat? How dumb. Did no one learn from the AMC Gremlin Levi's Edition? People burned their asses sitting on those steel buttons after being in the sun for hours.

And the backseat on the Peugeot is perfect for your paraplegic or amputee friends!
