CarMagazine has posted photos of a special Lamborghini that never made it past the sketch tablet, the Lamborghini Ferruccio.
The Lamborghini Ferruccio is basically a rebodied Murcielago LP640 that would have been the fastest Lamborghini in the lineup. It was designed by Italian coachbuilder Magviso and was supposed to be powered by a 6.5L V12 engine that would have been mated to an all-wheel-drive system. The engine would have put out 630 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque and would have propelled the car from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed over 230 mph.
Designer Pule Magau said that the project was killed since the automaker only received three orders for the car and no deposits. Lamborghini only planned on producing 10 Ferruccios. Prices were expecrted to be around $1.5 million. According to Pule the high price might have been part of the reason for the lack of orders.

Very nice idea.. but honestly, it doesn't look like a Lamborghini. It actually looks more like something Vector would/should make. This looks like more of a Vector car than their own wx-8 thing with the Supra headlights.

Agreed Jeff, I thought it was a yellow Vector at first.

Question... if it never got off the sketch tablet, how do they know it would've been the "fastest" Lambo ever? 0-60 in 3 secs? Hard to shave off those 1/10th of a seconds on a sketch tablet...

@DatMan:
Power, weight, and gearing can tell you a projected 0-60 speed.
I think it has a nice side profile and rear end, but the front looks like crapola.

I agree...I was thinking that the tail was derived from the last Vector that was made. While I would've loved to see Lamborghini put something way up on the supercar range, this car's styling isn't Lamborghini and I'm glad the company didn't produce it. I know it is a sketch, but if the actual car had 24" wheels like those look like, they would be the laughing stock, although the car would be in lots of rap videos.

Not a chance in hell 630hp gets you 230mph in a awd vehicle based on the Murcielago. And, I agree with Jeff it definitely has Vector lines, especially from the B-pillar back.

Yes the "Price" which is about the same as the Reventon, was the reason that they couldnt sell any pre-orders, it had nothing to do with the fact that the car looks vaguely like the head of a Shovel, Thats right nothing to do with the way it looks at all, nothing to see here, move along people, move along.

No way would Lamborghini connect the name of the founder to this design. In no way is this representative for the Lambo style so this has got to be fake. It definately wouldn't be a tribute to Ferruccio Lamborghini in my opinion :P

Look on the bright side, it's not another Camaro "SPY" photo.

It very well could be a fake. For one thing, I think the rear tires are mounted backward. It's hard to whisk water away from the center of the tire with that configuration.

Fake or not, it's damn cool to look at.

It kind of looks like a Micro Machine Hot Wheels Special Edition Lamborghini concept when they were Vector's owners. Something like that... It's just cartoonish, to me is doesn't have the right proportions... It must be a joke...

Agree with above, first thoughts were that it was a Vector or even a Zonda.

Designed by a coach-bag designer... ...
It's shows...
Completely off proportions. I've sketched more elegant looking rides in my sleep.
Yawn!
