LIVE! From New York: Suzuki Debuts Concept Kizashi 3 at New York Auto Show

- Concept Kizashi 3 makes global debut in New York
- Suzuki’s complete Kizashi concept series on display for first time
- Latest Suzuki concept fuses automotive passion, exquisite design and engineering excellence

Brea, Calif., (March 6, 2008) – The New York International Auto Show welcomes American Suzuki Motor Corp. on Thursday, March 20, as the company debuts its sleek and athletic Concept Kizashi 3, the final addition to its acclaimed Kizashi concept series. The Concept Kizashi 3, which suggests both Suzuki’s future design direction and stated intent to offer a larger, more upscale sport sedan, will be joined in New York by the North American debuts of the Concept Kizashi and Concept Kizashi 2.

The Kizashi concept series was developed by Suzuki’s Advanced Design Group to reflect a dynamic athlete in motion, taking its design cues from a strong, honed physique while displaying the performance, strength and style befitting a flagship vehicle. The design theme began with the Concept Kizashi, which made its debut at the 2007 International Motor Show in Frankfurt, and the Concept Kizashi 2, unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show last October, which further pushed Suzuki’s new design language. The Concept Kizashi 3 will represent the completion of the Kizashi concept series as well as providing a closer-to-production vision of a future Suzuki sport sedan offering. The complete Kizashi concept series will be revealed at the Suzuki press conference on Thursday, March 20, at 12:10 p.m. in booth 1215 at the Javits center.

Gary:

Not bad looking but I'd like to at least see a concept car before making any judgements. I think most sketches look kind of like Bat Mobiles.

Mazda6 Guy:

Very nice!

It will be interesting to see what this vehicle will look like in person. Hopefully it will look similar to the drawing.

SEALBoy:

Wow, that looks seriously cool. Anyone else notice a slight resemblance between the front of this concept and Hyundai's Genesis Coupe concept?

Rafael Fernandes:

As Jeremy Clarkson would say:

"if it come out like these, i will cut one of my legs and beat me to death with it".

Seriouly though, a suzuki that looks good, what a surprise!

Cheap Car Lover:

It's not a real car. The greenhouse is FAR too small for this ever to be produced.

What's this sketch supposed to look like anyways? I think it's ridiculous.

kw:

Not my thing. Looks like a shrunken Cadillac CTS, which also isn't my thing. But then, others like that look, so maybe I'm a small demographic. (And not the one they are shooting for.)

It's also just a concept drawing. Lot's can change between now and the showrooms.

Diesel:

Its just a computer render. The real car, if there is one, will look nothing like it. Suzuki doesn't have the balls. They stick with uninspiring crap mobiles for senior citizens.

JadeTalon:

Visibility = zero
