Cheap Car Lover:

Um, yay?

Reggie:

Hahahahahahahahaha, look at that shit! Hahahahahahahaha Wtf is this? Riced out american cars!? LOL, what a POS. It's no surprise that GM is falling apart, this car needs to be put out of its misery and it's not even in production yet.

dennisil:

holy ricer this thing looks gawdy

blah you:

This shiet will smoke any ricers! <--- buahhaha!

Travis:

yeah this will smoke a modified Evo or a GT-R, oh no wait that's right it wont. In fact I just saw a GT-R vs Z06 track review, and the GT-R flat out annihilated the Vette, lap times were Z06 @ 3:02.2, 911 Turbo @ 3:02.1, GT-R @ 156.9, Oh and the Nissan seats 4, and it has a nicer interior than the Vette, and it costs $10,000 less than the Z06. And you know as well as I do that GM is not going to let this hideous duckling come anywhere near the Vette in performance.

Travis:

oh I almost forgot to say, The Rims, he front grille insert, and the rear blackout treatment all help to make this car considerably less ugly than the other photos we have. Assuming that the ground effects kit looks that way because it is a prototype and that it will be body colored on the production cars, it also helps.

Not a fan of the stripes package, or the spoiler though.

Tommy Boy:

Import Fan Boys/Girls

When we make American cars look American, you complane.
When we make American cars look European, you complane.
When we make American cars look Japanese, you complane.
But when every other auto company dose this, you prase them for it.

STOP HATING AMERICAN CARS SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY'RE AMERICAN!!!!

Gary:

Are the side skirts, front, and rear lip left unpainted to see them better or is that how they actually thought it looked good? Looks like someone went to town at PepBoys.

Mr.SpellCheck:

Learn to spell Tommy Boy lol

oliver:

because every company that isnt american can effectively do it with oiut a complete ripoff

AMERICA:

*america* *america* *america* *america* *america* *america*

Help! my mind cant get this words out of my head!

*america* *america* *america* *america* *america* *america*

Timboj:

That looks ridiculous. If someone decides that's a nice way to option up their new Camaro, they deserve a punch in the face. Twice.

Travis:

I am not an American car hater, in fact I like both the new Challenger and the Mustang, I just think it's sad that GM designed this thing which is so ugly it offends me to look at it. The best part is that when sales suck, they will rebate it for a while and then can their pony car saying it's obvious that Americans don't want a bargain performance car. Having completely failed to get the point, which is that Americans want a good looking car that is fast and handles well, and has a quality interior.

Silverarrow:

@Tommyboy.
Myself as an "Import" but I do eat American food..let the real American import fan Boys/Girls eat import and prayse them for it.

Ozric:

Why is it so bad to make an American car look this Stupid, but it is ok to make a Japaneese car look this Stupid !!

Avatar:

That's great Travis. Can a GT-R do a 10 second quarter bone stock? Didn't think so. They both have there strengths and weaknesses, but whoever was driving that Z06 and 911 must not be able to drive. Best 'ring' time for GT-R is 7:35-7:38. Z06 is 7:40 -7:43. 911 Turbo is 7:40. So for a GT-R to be more then a minute faster, I don't think so.

PS, a stock GTO totally spanks a stock G37, for less money. And it has a nice interior.

Fxhnd:

gay ricers.

Travis :

The GT-R time should be 2:56.9 thats what I get for typing while exausted after an 11 hour work day, with traces of 15 year old single malt in my system.

Anyways the GT-R runs the 1/4 in the mid 11's puting it right there with the Z06, though at a lower trap speed (faster off the line due to AWD)

Also it's looking a lot like Nissan is under rating the GT-R's engine it seems it is puting out around 430~440 HP and Ft lbs on the Dyno, which means it's likely making 500~540 Hp/ft lbs, depending on just how efficent the AWD system is (usualy 15~20% loss)

JUiCeD:

Josh;

I love how everyone likes to talk crap on the new Camaro whenever it's really a nice car, but people just don't know how to respect it (Oh let me guess, everyone talking the crap loves "ricers"? Anyhow, why are you comparing the Z06 and the GT-R. Have you forgotten about the Zr1 (0-60 in 3.0 seconds)? And yeah the GTO (stock 06 6.0L) will def. spank an Inf. G37. Maybe the GT-R is better than most (all) street legal cars, But it's the only "ricer" that could beat a Vette/Viper/Shelby stock. The hell with ricers.

Sphere:

Actually, I kinda of like. I suppose the lower inserts will be color matched to the car.

Didn't like the stripes or the rear wing though. Nice white accents, I guess.

IF (and that's a big if) this car handles better than a Mustang (with that ancient rear suspension), it might work. I know it's not supposed to handle as well as a Nissan, but something more like a Corvetter would be great. It would completely change the car.

But if it is heavy, soft and made to drag racing only, I'll pass, gladly.

930turbo:

I think some people need to look a little closer at the pictures. These are all being taken at a design studio, while the parts are currently being designed, hence the way they look. The lower body kit is clay, the stripes are mis-matched and matte black because they are not finalized, the rear wing is not painted, and the grille looks to be a sticker there to see how the piece will look. These will not be the production parts. So yes it looks funny, because these are all prototype parts that will change before they are mass produced. I reserve judgement until the final pieces are on a production car on the street.

And please, does the GT-R always have to make its way into EVERY discussion on here?

wow I'm cool now cuz all I can talk about is the fastest cars out there. Doesn't anyone have something else to do then talk about the GT-R. Most of the people on that board just complain about it anyhow.

Tommy Boy:

I'm just as sick of hearing about the new GTR as I am looking at the new Camaro.

Alexvrb:

I like the 7-spoke wheels for the most part, but I prefer that the hardware be hidden. What's the deal with this trend to have exposed hardware? So annoying. I've considered getting new wheels, but the otherwise-perfect black wheels I've found all have shiny exposed hardware that hinder the look.

Maybe I'll just have my wheels sandblasted and powdercoated black.
