Thanks to a guy located near Honda's headquarters in California we have some new spy photos of the 2009 Acura TSX/ European Accord.

Last month Honda released a few teaser images of the new car, which will come in two versions in Europe, the Touring wagon and the regular sedan. The US will only get the sedan. From these images it is apparent that the new model is not going to stray far from the current design.

In Europe the car will be powered by two gas engines, a 2.0L and 2.4L. The Accord will also be powered by a 2.2L diesel engine. In the US we are likely to see the 2.2L diesel and it is rumored that the next TSX will also get a version of the turbocharged engine in the RDX SUV. The TSX is likely to be the first diesel powered Honda in the US.

The 2009 TSX is rumored to be on sale in the US in April.

Who Dis?:

Is it just me or does this look a heck of a lot like a Ford Fusion from the side profile?

Trooper Bri:

Those 2 pics do share a lot of similarities.

The back door and rear area/trunk look better on the Fusion. The door line around the rear wheel well in particular. That straighter line on the Honda seems to cut up the bodywork and make the door look smaller than it is.

John Campi:

I think the design is executed nicely. The Acura look is still evident, but the design is more refined and a progression forward. Let's face it. Acura and Lexus don't go for broke and pen a design that is too bold or risky. They tend to refine a look and keep certain styling cues. I think the TSX could design could have included a little more flair, but it is a nice car.

Jim B:

It does look like a Ford Fusion!!!!

Kell:

Seems like a nice car. I wonder what the price point is.

Cheap Car Lover:

Apart from Honda finally having a diesel, I'm for some reason not too excited by this car.
