I said it then and I will say it now. Ugly. The front alone makes you want to go "what the hell were they thinking?"
I'm not putting much faith into the series either. There have been numerous attempts to bring back Knight in some sort of fashion after the original and they have all failed within the first or second season. I see this series going down like the rest of them unless they can get some big names to make guest appearances. Adding David Hasselhoff to the cast would be big if they can pry him away from the bottle for longer then 5 minutes.

Strange to think of an AI machine as capable and indestructible when it is so gas station reliant isn't it?
When KIT get's pissed, does it start robbing Chevron stations to make it?

@ SteelCity1981
I agree with the front being fugly and that they have an uphill battle to regain fans from the original show. Also the previous thread about this did state that David Hasselhoff would be making a return in this series although it didn't say in what fashion.
@ don dada
You took the words right outta my mouth trying to resurrect a series where the car was main character with something that's not even close to being similar is just plain wrong
@ SVT
You can thank Ford's marketing dept. for that. That's how they got the mustang in the show in the first place. Remember Matrix 2, all the cars were GM's this is basically the same thing. There will be plenty of Ford commercials throughout the 2 hour movie as well.
Overall I'm looking forward to this. I'm hoping it does well and does justice to the original but I'm not holding my breath. We'll just have to wait and see.

Burn? WTF? who says "Burn!" anymore?
I would watch this befor another Start Trek or the goofy Terminator series. TV sucks now. I'd rather read all these stupids comments! Post more stuff you have know Idea about. I really hate sites that let any jerk type crap into a website. Please, delete this post and put more effort into real stories, and not press releases!

Stupid Americans. Your country is in an economic and moral meltdown, and you're watching shows on TV about cars. Pathetic....

@ JJ:
Who says we are in an economic and moral meltdown? What are you brainwashed? Ever lived in the US?
Ok I slightly agree about the economic part, Canada's dollar is worth more than ours, but, nonetheless...

"its the most advanced car ever developed" - what, did they slap a Mustang body on a German or Japanese car?

HAHAHA...
you would think they would put AI in something that atleast looks like its from the future... the tang is so pathetic of a car... I mean.. seriously, theres faster, MUCH MORE NIMBLE cars, that would better play the role of KIT.
It seems to me, that producers got a budget mucle car, slapped a bunch of rice on it, talked their a$$e$ a mountain full of unjustified hype, then got a bunch of B grade actors.
whats the point of the storyline? the trailer didnt even explain it.... so what, we are all meant to drop-jaw over how cool, this uncool car is becoz of the hype we get fed in the trailer?
when did we accept this as TV?

If they were going to use a Ford they should have used an 03-04 Terminator. It's much MUCH sleeker and meaner/nastier looking than the S197 body. Very few cars on the road make your sphincter pucker as tightly or send chills down your spine like a '03 Cobra Terminator coming up in your rear view.
Hope they are good with their sound dubbing or stick a V6 in it for the show; they are going to have to dub out the loud burbling V8 and overwrite it with the sound of a turbine engine.
*the original KITT was said to be powered by a gas turbine (jet) engine not a reciprocating piston engine

Hey, the 03 Cobra Terminator dose look like more a KITT, and the one up top stands out too much.
