PRESS RELEASE:

Swiss Extravaganza - The Rinspeed “X-treme” based on the Porsche 957 Cayenne

The Swiss company Rinspeed, also renown as a noble Porsche tuner, can look back to thirty years of tradition and now presents its latest customizing program based on the face-lifted Porsche Cayenne. The latest creation of the Swiss is called X-treme which is specially high-lighted by the sporty and dynamic aerodynamics package. It plays the latest Cayenne outstandingly to the gallery and fits to all model versions.
The complete new frontskirt/bumper impresses by its aggressive and distinctive visual appearance. Bigger air-intakes with fins as well as a front splitter with its own brake aeration award the Rinspeed X-treme a proprietary and typical look. Beefy wheel arches let the sporty SUV appear to be much wider and more dynamic. The side skirts fit elegantly into the existing side lines and connect homogenously the wide wheel arches. The rear skirt has received a difusor which diminishes the down force significantly. The two rear chrome exhaust tips are the high-light of the back end. The sporty exhaust system clearly suggests the ample power under the hood. The X-treme will bring up to 600 hp on the road.

The contact to the road is ensures by the enormous wheel-tire-combination in the typical Rinspeed design. The biggest available version is of the size of 11×23 inches. The 315/25-23 tires are especially approved for speeds of the 300 km/h. The air suspension is customized with an electronic module which lowers the SUV by 35 mm - the whole range covers 110 mm .

Exclusive leather interiors as well as customizing options as individual bucket seating, home entertainment systems and many other items round up the diversified program.

If someone is looking to do a very good deed, I am a poor soul that could really use one of these. If interested please contact me.

SEALBoy:

600HP on a station wagon/CUV...

m5hed:

This new Cayenne looks SOOO much better than the original ugly thing. And I think the Rinspeed body kit looks better again!!

I'm not sure about the ground clearance though. I believe Cayenne was one of the few posh-brand 4WD's with some genuine offroading ability - hope that hasn't been trounced, but the 35mm height reduction and silly, silly 23" wheels probably have killed it's offroading! :-(

... I want the ONE car to go fast, go offroad, go shopping!!! And oh yeah, go frugal too!

mf:

Yeah it will look great in your yard, cause thats where it would sit at $6 gas.

Marty:

If you can afford a Rinspeed modified Porsche $6 gas won't phase you much.

joeyiroc:

The Audi RS6 has 580 - 600 hp, and is a lot better looking than this. Porsche is just trying to cash in on the American SUV craze before it crashes.

Jonathan:

Wow that is like the ultimate "compensator"

@joeyiroc

No you are not correct. The RS6 has only 450BHP. Better looking yeah and a whole lot better looking than the Cayenne admittedly. And it is all about cash too...

Still 580.... I don't know where you could have gotten that number from at all... Unless you are just in the habit of only driving cars that are pretuned out of factory then I really don't see the scenario XD!

@Jonathan... I really hope that you aren't one of those that would actually go and use that as an excuse... XDXDXDXD or XXX :)

Dan:

porsche SUV = fail

zippy:

*yawn*

Kell:

@zippy - take a nap, lol :)

sports wagon, anyone?

Dan:

sports wagons already exist. the subaru WRX is available in a wagon. i'll drive that all day.

i wouldn't be cought dead in a porsche SUV.

SVT:

@Dan: you'd think that until you realize this Cayennes perform with the bes on and off road...(obviously this tuner was not meant for off road driving....)

drfruit:

Wow, ugly and expensive, this will probably be a hit in the States. ;)

The front end looks even more like a mazda now

Cheap Car Lover:

What a stupid truck...

rene:

more style ??

I missed that part.

Kell:

oops, sorry zippy. when I posted there were like 4 yawns :P

cruse:
