Last week the first few images of Nissan's all-new 2009 Murano leaked onto the internet. Now we have two more which provide further detail of that weird looking front end and a throughly reworked interior.
The crossover will be officially unveiled at the LA Auto Show on Wednesday 11/14. The new Murano will again be offered with front and all-wheel-drive versions. A 3.5L 265 horsepower engine is expected under the hood.
Check back on Wednesday for the official release.

What were they thinking with the grill and headlights?! Yuk. I would sooner drive an Aztek.

Forget ugly, the front end borders on downright gross. It looks like the grill had a mutated growth and pushed the headlights aside.
Interior is pretty nice, though.

I think it looks good actually... difference in taste maybe. The current one wasn't very exciting to me. I dig the new style especially the new interior.

IMO; it looks very nice. :) It would be neat as a hybrid vehicle.

I think it looks great also, a lot more edge.

I don't _hate_ it (certainly not as much as the aztek), but the nose does remind me of something from the new Battlestar Galactica series.

My first reaction was "ugliness!"
I like the interior, thats about it.
The tail lights may not be ugly, but I very much prefer the current, vertical ones. These look like the Hyundai Santa fe rear lights.
The front grill/lights are ugly!!. Way to squeeze the lights into place.

I like the side profile and interior. I agree that the front end is a travesty.

I like it also. I don't like the cvt that probably will carry over however. a 5 or 6 speed would get better gas miles and of course be more natural...

Personally it's kinda ugly and the grill kinda looks like a tribeca, and could use a little more work.

I am not a big fan of CVT's , however Nissan is the only company that seems to be doing them right.

Personally, I think the grill would look a lot better if that hood was not sunk in. How sucky is that thing looking?

I'm not a fan of this new era of "let's call it a Crossover SUV instead of a hatchback!!," but having the extra cargo space is always nice. Why is it so hard for Americans to understand that SUV does NOT = GOOD in every scenario? Hell, even the new subcompact hatchbacks are called "mini-suvs" around here... it's a car with a hatch instead of a trunk!!
:: steps off soap box ::
Seriously though, did Nissan decide to clone that HIDEOUS Lincoln hatchback? The older Muranos were far from pretty, but this new grille looks like the b*s**rd child of every ugly wanna-be luxo "Crossover" grocery-getter out there.
The interior is nice, though. Very "modern housewife gets a present for being a good girl." I'll stick with my econobox, though, until I can afford an R36 ;-)
P.S. Has anyone noticed that the "crossover" hatchbacks, truck-based SUVs (all with independent rear suspension now!), and minivans have almost identical features? Makes you wonder who the true market is for...

And I thought the new Navagator's looked ugly in the front. Holy crap this one takes the cake. What were they thinking and whoever approved of this front end should be fired.
