The all-new 2009 Nissan Murano is going to be officially unveiled at the LA Auto Show next week, but thanks to the NICOclub forums we have the first few photos of it.
Overall the all-new Murano looks very similar to the current generation. Combine the current Murano with the recently introduced Rogue and this is what you will get. Looks like there will also be an optional panoramic sunroof. From a styling standpoint the only weird thing is that front end. But does it look better than the Rogue front end?

At this rate I guess we will get by 2011 the "all new 2015 model"
Whats the rush? We are not even done with 2007 and we are already getting 2009 models?
It looks fine but the old model had smoother lines, looked better.

'09 models can go on sale Jan 2nd, 2008. No idea when this WTF (SUV, CUV, jacked up car) goes on sale.

it is because manufacturers need to bulk their supply of cars before the release date.
and before manufacturing, they do all sorts of designing and testing cars.
and we get leaked information from enthusiasts.

Looks like a 07 Hyundai Vera Cruz or Santa Fe, nothing special for an 09. Nissan needs to step up or they will be in trouble again, very soon. Dealership in my town just went bankrupt.

Adrian is right, usually the next years model begins being produced in the year before, and the actual design and engineering is finished a month before production or so. Remember, this is an enthusiast website: here, we are ahead of the curve.

Part of the early release of these '09s is that they now go through a lot more rigorous testing for safety and other stuff. Here in California it takes many aftermarket companies over a year to get a product CARB certified. Other states have other certifications they make manufacturers go through. Also, with our legal system so liberalized, and with frivolous lawsuits the norm, companies have no choice but to try to prevent it as best they can. The family of one person who dies for whatever reason, can find a weasel lawyer, who turns the cause into a car defect and there goes millions of dollars...which we, in turn, pay when car prices go up.

Wow. It's just as ugly as the current one, only more modern-looking. That's important in a vehicle. This 2009 has it all - ugly and modern. I hear the Murano is actually a pretty good car, though. I love the quality of Nissans, I just can't stand their body designs... I know, I'm strange. Is it just me, though?

Look, a jelly-bean!
Seriously, as far as SUV's go, this is one of the better ones in my book. Having said that, I'm a sports car guy so take it with a grain of salt, because I would never buy one.
