Honda has unveiled the PUYO Concept that is going to be officially unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show this month.
According to Honda "The PUYO represents a new idea in mobility that brings together ‘clean’, ’safe’ and ‘fun’ functionality in an environmentally responsible, people-friendly minimalist design featuring an ultra-high efficiency, small frame and fuel cell technology to please both users and onlookers alike."
It looks like the car also glows in the dark...

I don't think I need to even comment on the body styling of this one... but it looks like any minor accident would be terrible for the occupants as there is no crumple zone. Not to mention most any accident would destroy an axle as the wheels are so far forward/back.

Its a concept, not a production, car. Still, the child left in me is screaming for glow-in-the-dark car.

I could see this being used in senior citizen communties in a closed circuit area. Or as a customer drop off vehicle at an airport. As far as this vehicle being used on actual city streets would be terrible. I mean, a Honda Fit/Jazz could deem this thing totalled!
Better yet, some neighborhood kid with a bike could render this thing totalled.
I know we all here come down hard on the BIG three (GM, Ford, and Chrysler) but this time I am going to come down hard on Honda.
This type of concept cars are a waste of money. People who purchase current Honda want to know their money is not going to pet projects like this one. These designs do not have any merit on future safety designs, aerodynamics, structural integrity, etc.
I know they like to make these things for show but I would rather see my money go toward real advancement.
Honda needs to think before they approve R&D for crap like this.

Consider that some people live in big cities with heavy traffic.
The average speed during rush hour a car has in my city is under 20km/hour. The are no sufficient parking places either. Guess which is the best selling car here? MCC Smart.
I think this is a great concept for -in city- driving.
